Farewell Dinner Tonight for Emmaleigh: Beginning at 5:30 at church on Sunday, April 26, we will have dinner and singing at church. We are sad that Emmaleigh is leaving but we rejoice that she plans to continue her career in Iowa City.

Welcome: We welcome each of you today as we gather to worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ - the only way, the truth and the life.

Afternoon Service: Starting today, a live translation is available in the assembly room. We are thankful to have classes available in the morning for various groups including those who speak Spanish. Today we ask that everyone who is in the church building during the afternoon gather in the assembly room. Those who prefer to hear the message translated to Spanish will be given instructions so that they can listen on their earbuds connected to their smart phone.

Mid-Week: This week we plan to continue with Lesson 9 of the Bible Study Reflecting God’s Love at 7:30 pm. Collection: European Building Fund opportunity

There is a need to replenish the HarvestCall European Church Building Fund. Over the past several years, numerous requests for repairs to aging facilities have consumed the existing fund. The Balingen and Briedenbach Germany congregations both need larger church buildings due to Ukrainian refugees and additional brethren from other impoverished countries that have settled in Germany. This has created a need to replenish this fund. If you feel moved to support this work, donations may be made through the HarvestCall website or by check designated to the European Church Building Fund.

Announcements and Upcoming Events

The vision of the Austin/Bastrop Apostolic Christian Church is to glorify God by obeying the Bible and furthering the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Welcome: As we gather together, may we be encouraged and lifted up in the joy of our Lord. His truth is marching on.

Mid-Week: This week we plan to continue our Bible Study at 7:30 pm. Everyone is encouraged to complete Study 8 in the Parenting Bible Study. The scripture for this study is Luke 15:11-32.

Items requested for Hospital Lumiere’s benefit auction .

Prayer Request: The door of grace remains open and we have the opportunity to pray for those who have recognized their need for Christ and started on a journey of repentance. Please pray for our local converts, Isaac Reutter and Steven Luciano and for converts in Dallas, Ralph Riggenbach and Rhet Leman.

Welcome: We give thanks for our visitors and for all who are helping spread the gospel by supporting Vacation Bible School. God is worthy to be praised!

This Afternoon: Following the afternoon service we plan to meet together for a VBS planning meeting. Everyone is invited to a potluck dinner at the church beginning at 5:30

Mid-Week: The speaker for Wednesday night VBS is Brother Rick Kaisner.

Friday Evening VBS Program: The potluck meal will be served at 6:00 pm followed by the VBS program.

Passing Over: One of Kay Reutter's sisters, Sharon Moran from Chicago, passed away on March 3. Duane and Kay plan to travel on Monday, March 10, to attend a service. We pray that the family can be comforted and know that the eternal God is our refduge.

Austin/Bastrop Announcements for December 15, 2024

The vision of the Austin/Bastrop Apostolic Christian Church is to glorify God by obeying the Bible and furthering the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Welcome: The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shined. We give thanks that we all feel the impulse at this time to think of others, to show love to others, to be there for others.

Christmas Program: We give thanks for our Sunday School and anticipate the joy of hearing the Christmas program this afternoon.

Good-Bye (for now): We have been wondrously blest to have Sister Ruth and Brother Tyler Edleman with us, and now they have been directed to return to Illinois. What a joy to watch little Taya thrive here, and to welcome little Burke into this world in Texas. Our lives have been enriched, and we send them off with our love and anticipation for what God has in store. Thank you for sharing this segment of your lives with us.

Mid-Week: We look forward to Wednesday evening church services beginning with singing at 7:15 and going on the pulpit at 7:30 pm.

Welcome: Jesus is the source of Living water. We welcome our visitors and rejoice to worship today in the courts of the God of our salvation. Today we are grateful that Brother Gerry Hertzel and Brother Leland Plattner are with us.

Sunday School Picnic this afternoon: Everyone is encouraged to attend the picnic at the home of Bailey and David Brummitt with a meal at 5:00. After supper, the Sunday School will sing two songs and we’ll have a short devotional. A hayride is planned at dusk.

Bastrop Evaluation Committee: The BEC continues to work with the Building Advisory Committee and Brother Gerry as they seek God’s direction regarding our church campus. Our local committee will give an update on the building research that has been in process following services today.

Austin/Bastrop Announcements for July 28, 2024

The vision of the Austin/Bastrop Apostolic Christian Church is to glorify God by obeying the Bible and furthering the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Mid-Week: We plan to meet for Bible study at the church at 7:30 pm.

General Conference : In the conference this year, we will seek to strengthen our relationship with Jesus by trusting in God’s sure promises from his Word. Looking at Esther’s calling, we see how she responded with courage and faith, inspiring us to do the same. We will consider our calling and how to respond biblically in all aspects of our life. This includes navigating the issues of our day and how to engage people appropriately.

Let’s be prayerful that this will strengthen us as a body of believers bound together by our love for Jesus and his Word.

Aug 9 - General Conference of the Apostolic Christian Church in Peoria.

Aug 10 – Baby shower for Emily Bazzell. Brunch at 10:30 in the South Building.

Mid-Week: We plan to meet for Bible study at the church at 7:30 pm. This week we will review lesson 2 and encourage all to attend. On July 3 Bible study is scheduled at the church to begin lesson 3. Brother David Brummitt will lead these two meetings.

Saturday: Sister Ellen and Brother Gerry plan to be in Bastrop on June 29. They want to meet with as many as possible during the weekend – please contact them and make arrangements.

Next Sunday: Brother Gerry will present the Memorandum to the church during the afternoon service on June 30.

Austin/Bastrop Announcements for April 7, 2024

The vision of the Austin/Bastrop Apostolic Christian Church is to glorify God by obeying the Bible and furthering the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Welcome: Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness. We rejoice to worship with many visitors today in the courts of the God of our salvation.

Mid-Week: We look forward to Wednesday evening church services beginning with singing at 7:15 and going on the pulpit at 7:30 pm.

Next Sunday: A church potluck is planned at 5:30 on April 14. Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to attend. Heather and Chad Heiniger plan to be with us.

The vision of the Austin/Bastrop Apostolic Christian Church is to glorify God by obeying the Bible and furthering the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Welcome: Jesus asked “Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels?” We rejoice that he was willing to lay down His life for us, and that He rose victorious from the grave. HE LIVES

Easter Program : We look forward to our Easter Program as part of the afternoon service.

Welcome: If these should keep silence, the stones would cry out in praise. Let us be glad and bring Him honor and praise. Today we rejoice to have Sister Tamara and Brother John Lehman from Wolcott with us.

Greetings: Sister Diane and Brother Dennis are in south Texas today preparing for a work team. Sister Candy and Brother Jim plan to be in Dallas today.

Mid-Week: Services will not be held on Wednesday evening.

Good Friday services will be held beginning with singing at 7:15 and going on the pulpit at 7:30 pm.

Conference in Tremont, IL: ACCFS will be hosting its 2024 Perfecting Love | Discipleship Conference on April 20th in Tremont, IL. This year's theme is A Vision for Discipleship and is focused on helping attendees consider a vision for discipleship in their local church communities. We look forward to a time of learning, encouragement, and fellowship.
